Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Wildecker and his mate Herzbuam love to make music. They often travel to faraway dragon clans and human settlements, advertising as the "musical duo from the home of the Moonsilver Artists' Association". While this is technically true, their clan is home of the renowned MAA, and they themselves are Royal Blues, like most members, neither Herzbuam nor Wildecker is part of the prestigious group of musicians. In fact most members would rather die than let these two join up. They are folksy, demotic idiots who are more interested in good food and friendly company than in any kind of artistic integrity.

Wildecker just sneers at the MAA in return and uses their reputation for his own advantage.
