Water Walkers are small dragons that are frequently found around bogs and ponds. While they are flightless, they retain the flight sacs and hollow bones of their airborne cousins. These traits, coupled with their extraordinarily long, webbed toes, allow them to stand on top of calm waters, using their small sails to propel them wherever they please. They spend the majority of their lives on the water, retreating to the tops of lily pads when the waters become too rough to float atop.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Olbidige is a Water Walker dragon. Like most of his kind, he lives on the surface of water, or in his case, a small swamp that is located behind his family's mountain cavern home. A gloomy and pessimistic dragon by nature, having Olbidige as a companion is downright depressing. As a hatchling, his peers avoided him because of his tendency to point out the worst in everything. A sunny day wasn't cheerful to him, it was gaudy. A rainy day wasn't a reprieve from hot weather, it was a day on which one could catch a cold because of the drastic temperature change. The fact that he was often right did nothing to lessen the other dragons' irritation. As an adult, Olbidige lives by himself in his swamp, but is visited by his owner and some of the friendlier dragons who genuinely like him despite his gloomy nature.
