Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. A heroic and noble beast, Felisette is perfect in every way, shape, and form. He sparkles like gold except even more so than gold because he wears body glitter. He can speak in at least a dozen languages by quoting what he assumes are romantic phrases from them while he gallops into battle. He is so pleasing to the ladies that they all promise to come visit him at his cave, but are so bedazzled by his sheer wonderfulness that they forget how to find him when the time comes and thus never show up.

The only tiny, minute, microscopic POSSIBLE chip on his perfection is that when people suggest he has a girly name, he becomes rightfully offended and spills hot tea on their pants.
