Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Like Hamish Infernal Darkness came to the clan as an outcast from her own family. The last thing they shouted at the little hatchling was 'Go away you infernal abomination!'

Infernal Darkness was bitter about this rejection for years and even the new home she found at Herk's clan could do little to lighten her soul.

While at her new clan dark blacks are considered beautiful and elegant there are still many wild dragons or members of other less sophisticated clans that foster a superstitious fear of her kind. Darkness has chosen her name consciously to strike fear into the hearts of such foes and while she still is bitter about her rejection as a hatchling she won't let that fact own her life.
