Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kibu is an elder on Dragon Isle. She slumbers in a cave on the highest mountain peak. It is rumored that when she stretches, great storms form above the island.

A naturally neutral dragon, Kibu is indifferent about pretty much everything. She is difficult to anger, and even more difficult to impress. She rarely emerges from her sleeping quarters, spending most of her elder days in the safety and comfort of her home. When she does emerge, powerful storms form with every flutter of her large, electric wings.

She used to spend her life flying, only landing to sleep and breed. However, her old age has made her settle down on the isle, and now she barely gets the chance to spread her weary wings. She doesn't mind that much, as her quiet and relaxed life is quite pleasant.
