Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has a somber color, but is surprisingly playful.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Master is known for being notoriously hard to find. He loves to hide from both his tamer and his fellow cavemates, and most of the hatchlings consider this a wonderful game. He is easily startled, however, and if a dragon roars loudly enough, he will squeak and reveal his hiding spot. Master is also quite a prankster and will sneak up on both hatchlings and adults, then playfully nip their tails.
