Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s already quite large compared to other hatchlings, and appears to like roughhousing.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Vaosha certainly wishes nothing more to join the force like her best friend Wixdo, but she is fully unaware that her growth has been stunted and she will never be big enough to join the crime force. None of the other Brute dragons have the heart to reveal this to her. However, she still begs each day to help with operations to no avail.
