Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It hatched with fins instead of legs and did not seem to react well to freshwater, so you relocated it to the nearest ocean.

Its dorsal fin has grown larger, and it rarely surfaces anymore. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

BoldOceanHeart is a Deep Sea Dragon hatchling with a lot of time on her hands...fins. Her parents, DeepOceanBlues and OceanFrills are too wrapped up in each other to pay her much attention. So she mainly hangs out with her big brother BoldOcean and his Magi mate CitrineHeart. They don't have, or want, offspring of their own. But they love having BoldOceanHeart around. She even helps them to teach other hatchlings about the sea.
