As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

A glimmer of light shone off the almost completely cracked egg. It rocked wildly back and forth until a small dragon burst from the shell. She had wings as delicate and light as a butterfly's and a small thin neck that could be snapped in a split second. Her parents grew worried and would have cast her out if her other siblings hadn't crowded around her to protect the small dragon. Reluctantly, her parents decided to keep her.

What she didn't have in strength she made up in intelligence. Some days when there was no game in the air and she was trapped inside, she would just sit around and solve problems. One day when her parents gave her a small shell. They told her that there was a coin in it and that they couldn't get it out. She spent hour after hour poring over the puzzle. Finally, one day her parents returned home a small coin lay abandoned in front of them. The young dragonette was nowhere to be seen.
