Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Succubus Vampiricus is evil. Very evil. He loves to read Grimoires and the Malleus Maleficarum when it's too light to go outside, and has learned many particularly nasty things to do to other dragons from these. To his disgust, he grew up at a time when there were no eggs in the cave, and the other dragons were all watching to see whether they dared to breed. In the end, to be allowed to stay in the cave, he had to agree to bite only when asked to do so. But this is not a condition he appreciates, and he has no intention of sticking to it. He believes he could sire children even though he is deemed to be incapable of reproduction. He would create wonderful deformed children, easily susceptible to evil supernatural influences. He plots how he could go about this while waiting impatiently for the moment he will bite a juicy egg.
