Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Swiss started out as a tiny little egg. In fact, he was so tiny, that he thought he was a kumquat. By the time he hatched, he desired so strongly to be a good kumquat, that it was all he thought about. It came as a great shock to Swiss when he was told that he was a dragon. Not a kumquat. He was told he was very rare, which was a small consolation. Who cared if he was rare He wanted to be a kumquat!

Finally he decided that if he could not be a kumquat, there was nothing for him in life. He wandered away from his scroll, and stumbled across a field. Guess what was growing there It was an orchard of kumquats! The Dragon purchased the field, and happily returned to his scroll, now the proud owner and manager of the kumquat field. His scroll owner realized this was truly where his heart lay, and she let him keep the field. Now Swiss tends it daily, happy to finally be a kumquat. Ssshh!! Don't tell him he's still a dragon!!
