It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A large, ancient stone circle stands amongst the tall grasses of a meadow near Preto Osso's weyr.  A worn, chipped stone slab stands in the middle of it, bearing time-lost symbols carved in place of words.  The humans able to read this lost language are few and far between, and on a smaller, newer stone a translation has been carved: 'Ware Ogham, Dragoness of the Circle.

She is as ancient as the stones she guards; covered in superficial scars and walking with a slight limp caused by a long-forgotten battle, she bears her age with pride.  No one knows exactly why she guards this circle, and her supposed indefinite vow of silence is both mysterious and frustrating.

Ogham shows her mate, Electric Cosmos, and their offspring the same tender care she lavishes upon the stones.  Cosmos often speaks in her stead, although his infuriatingly complex riddles tend to raise more questions than answers.
