Some of its magma has hardened, maybe this means something?

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Fira is the apple of her father's eye. She is his last child but is pleased to be born a Magma dragon. Firaga dotes on his daughter, he always carries her on his head and lets her have her way. Fira is bold and arrogant and can be bossy, she hates being told what to do and can have big tantrums. Her mother Bhreac doesn't spend time with her and even left before Fira hatched, so Firaga is solely responsible for Fira's well-being. Her best friend is the dragon hatchling Ice.
