Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Taiyang, called Tya sometimes (though he hates the nickname), is a very fun-loving and vain dragon. Unlike his father Yue, he very much a party animal and literally a social butterfly. If he finds anyone who he thinks is attractive, he will immediately hit on them. Hes also a playboy, so he might hit on one person one minute and another a few seconds later. He's almost as strong as his father, Yue, but chooses not to use it half the time. He can be lazy for the most part, and usually doesn't help others unless it benefits himself. He's pretty intelligent but doesn't like to use his smarts half the time unless he wants to and if it actually benefits him. He is a little hot-headed and is easily angered especially if insulted. He tends to treat people as if they are lower than him and likes to order people around to work for him. He's also very vain and thinks he is the most beautiful dragon to have ever lived and is often seen preening his scales on a large rock under direct sunlight.
