Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Scarlet is a dragon of the night, not only because of his color, but his hatred towards people. He is easily provoked and will not hold back if he is fighting against another creature or dragon. He is also relatively secretive. He has a mysterious aura, but mostly because he often prefers to be alone. He breeds when needed, but that is mostly all. He originally came from a rogue dragon clan with his previous mate Larcisine. He and Larcisine had been seperated along the way. But when he had learned that Larcisine was now apart of another group, he decided to join so that Raya would at least mature with her mother present even though she had missed the hatching. He is no longer with Larcisine because she had moved on so he figured he should as well.
