Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

One of the first of her breed to be observed by scientists, her bizarre time changes sent an uproar throughout the civilized world. Researches attempted to describe her to the skeptical masses as something like a coin; during the day you see one side, and at night you see the other. Few believed in the logical explanations for this, however, and she quickly grew to legendary status; she was a gargoyle, a statue capable of springing to life when the sun sunk away. Accordingly, she was shipped to the roof of a cathedral while she was in her stone state, and there she has stayed, scourging the city of vermin at night and driving off anyone who dares try to break into her home. Some wonder why she's developed such affection for a place she was transported to without asking her permission, but it's simple: she's fond of the organ music that drifts up from beneath her and the spectacle of city life to observe while she's stuck immobile, and so she protects it out of gratitude.
