Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Except for the occasional flicker of movement, it remains inanimate.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

User Description

Ungwa likes to slowly roam around in waterways, mostly submerged. He cannot swim, but he can hold his breath for quite a while and enjoys the feel of the soft silt under his feet as he wades. If he sits still, his meals of fish swim right up to him.

He has learned to look before surfacing, having overturned small boats and hit his head on obstacles on more than one occasion (apparently this stone hatchling has a somewhat thick as well as hard head). Nervous about what may be out there, Ungwa tries to avoid being seen by surface dwellers. Rumors of a monster occasionally surfacing in one of his favorite lakes are generally laughed at by outsiders, but those who live in the area know he is there.
