Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Racer is the Clans messenger, relaying messages to other clans. As the fastest dragon, he is also in charge of scouting the surrounding land for enemy clans and relaying warnings to the others. When he isn't running, Racer likes to lay by the Pond where the Water dragons live and splash in the shallows. He is Sky's best friend, and likes racing her on the ground as she flies.
