Grave Dragons are not named for their connections to death or burial, but for the grave expression on their faces. This strange expression is used as a defense mechanism that causes fits of panic and terror in potential predators. Since they only eat ash and charcoal, they do not hunt. Grave Dragons are powerful fire-breathers and have been known to burn down forests and villages alike to make meals. It is believed that the markings on each Grave Dragon’s wings are the faces of those who have lost their lives in fires started by that dragon.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

"I am fire, I am death!"

In many cultures, human and dragon alike, Harethen's name is synonymous with "demon."  He believes that his fire gives him power over all living thing, making him greater than even the gods themselves. To demonstrate his might, he has set entire kingdoms on fire gleefully taking thousands of lives, all while shouting his infamous chant.

A popular legend among those who have managed to survive in territories under his control calls him a fallen angel, a being so obsessed with playing with mortality that he was sent into exile as a punishment not only to him, some say, but to sinners too unholy to live. A local Guardian of Nature who has taken it upon herself to be a savior has fueled these rumors by claiming she was sent to rid the world of the demon Harethen.

While Harethen may be a monster, he is certainly no demon, and loathes the Guardian of Nature for making him the object of a crazed crusade.
