Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Dave is somewhat of an outcast, due to the fact that he spends most of his time flying around the mountains near the cave where he resides. This causes trouble as many poachers want his beautiful scales. Thus, Leegola often has to fend them off while Frydo casts a spell on them so they don't remember anything that happened. Leegola likes to annoy him by reminding him of the fact that he owes his life to her several times over. Then, Dave usually flees the cave, starting the cycle all over again. All of the other dragons think of him as a loner, but it's probably safe to say all Dave really wants is someone special to spend his time with.
