Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Novv trains the latest arrivals to the Nocturne Guards - mostly hatchlings from the nearby nocturne colony, but also some adults from other dragon communities. Adult nocturnes tend to be both the easiest and most aggravating for Novv to train - while they are better disciplined than most hatchlings, most have no idea how to behave in a human city, and some have never even seen a human before. After many years of apologizing for broken shopfront windows, overturned market stands, spooked horses, and all of the other problems that arise when a creature the size of a large horse tries to fit in among humans, Novv has become quite adept at smoothing over awkward situations and at always knowing the right thing to say. As a result, she's often asked to be the official representative of the Nocturne Guards when one is needed - she's an expert in diplomacy and can be trusted not to offend anyone.
