Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Wham-bam-thank you ma'am! Whippits is in and out and around so quickly, all that is ever seen of him is a brown blur! Called "Whips" by his handlers, Whippits streaks all over the rookery and the surrounding landscape, acting as scout for any lost, forlorn and lonely dragons (as well as the occasional snack). When low on energy, Whippits seems to crash right where he is—be it in the middle of a bath or running up a cliff face. Yes, he's been known to fall from the cliffs around the rookery, passed out from lack of energy while zipping up the rocks. The Pinks (Ha Ula Ula and Noe ula) are on constant watch over the whiptail, ever vigilant for scrapes, breaks and contusions.
