Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Almerald Dragons are an unusual species. They have gem-like protrusions along their spine that brighten and darken depending on their mood. In addition, their body temperature grows warmer during periods of excitement, and cooler during darker moods such as anger or depression; as such, it is fairly easy to read an Almerald’s emotions. Their mood can change quickly at times, going from calm to angry in a matter of seconds. If their anger becomes bad enough they can become a frightening opponent. Adults are not normally high in energy, so they hunt infrequently and prefer to lazily consume large quantities of fruits and nuts.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
The mysterious Fairy Tale is considered the "grave keeper" of the flock, spending most of her time in the graveyard, lovingly tending to the graves of those who have passed on, especially those of eggs or hatchlings.
Those who visit the graveyard are often greeted by this soft-voiced, solemn dragoness, who is always happy to lead them to the graves they seek and even put aside her duties to sit with them awhile, if they so wish it. During these moments, she weaves her tales, telling stories of the afterlife and of the dragons who lie within the graves around her. But always, always do her stories share one, bittersweet message: as painful as it may be, those in eternal sleep would wish for those left behind to move on, to live their lives.
All who visit comment that they feel better after hearing the stories from this dragon, but upon turning to thank her, find themselves alone, lending to the tale that this dragon herself lies somewhere in the graveyard...
