Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As a youngster, this dragoness and her older sister lived on a beautiful, magical island under the tutelage of a powerful sorceress. She learned much during this time, until one day her peace was shattered. A Tsunami and a Trihorn, on a quest to find an ancient artifact and rescue a friend of theirs, passed through the island, and, in the process accidentally freed some violent prisoners, who destroyed the sorceress' home. On the run, she and her sister parted ways; her sister joined a group of all-female warriors who called themselves Amazons, and she headed for the Western Dragon Camp, where she later became one of its two leaders, called Praetors. She is a fair leader, and strives to do what is best for her Camp and keep its traditions alive. When her co-Praetor disappeared, she held the mantle of leadership alone, which has hardened her. He eventually returned, but brought with him some dragons from the Eastern Camp, one of whom inadvertently started a war between the two Camps.
