Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It must be very shy since it keeps hiding from you.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Kenny had always been considered the youngest among their peers when comparing the appearances of the hatchlings.

It wasn't until years after teasing and humiliation that Sydnee- the settlement's most celebrated doctor- discovered that a freezing spell was cast on Kenny, not only stunting their growth but also stopping it entirely. Unfortunately, as Sydnee explained, there's no known way to break such a devastating spell.

Despite the disruption of their transition into adulthood, Kenny is a shy, yet cheerful individual who still hasn't lost hope for a better future.
