Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nimely is a very timely dragon, and though she is usually very impolite and rude, the one thing she will not do is make someone wait. No one knows why being late is so high up on her list of important things, but they have all seen her throw a fit when she could not be somewhere on time. The many dragons who want to get Nimely back for whatever reason hold her up a bit and watch her sweat and worry until she gets sick of them and just pushes through the troublemakers on the way to her previous engagement. Another joke that is often played on her is forcing her to book several appointments in close succession with each one quite a ways away from the others, and then watching Nimely zoom across the sky when she unsuccessfully tries to get to all places on time.
