It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Radyana is a very vain and selfish dragon, graceful and beautiful, narrow-minded and sometimes even cruel despite her great intelligence. She usually shows a heart as cold and hard as crystal. However, as soon as she thinks no one is looking, she will breathe a little fire over a shivering hatchling, or drop a packet of meat before an elder, or again tend to a wounded dragon, to these ones' surprise and gratitude. Radyana sometimes even spends a whole day and night hunting, bringing back all of her prey to the cave and anonimously dropping it off there before flying away without taking a bite, making sure no one knows of what she did. When the moon is bright and new, she silently glides through the night sky, rejoycing in the moonlight's touch, playing with the stars and the breeze, dreaming that one day she might become a better dragon... but dreams are only dreams.
