Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mad Esmeralda, Esmeralda Under the Mountain, eighth generation of greens known to haunt the caverns beneath Mount Burdock, is as reclusive and volatile as the rest of her line.  The bravest of local children strew flowers and shiny pebbles in cave mouths, hoping to lure her out into the sunlight, but only the most foolish of men launch a search into the deepest territory of an earth dragon.  Despite her reputation, even in her anger, Esmeralda has never been known to cause damage worse than a few rockslides, and the occasional missing goat.
