Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys running through a nearby pumpkin patch.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Vecardi is a most special dragon, in Belorussia's eyes at least. Belorussia joined around Halloween, and in the midst of people scrambling to snag some Halloween dragons, she managed to pick up a little Pumpkin egg. When the egg hatched, she was delighted to meet such a cute little hatchling. But, when she found out what the adult form of the Pumpkin species looked like, she was saddened. Vecardi didn't seem happy about it either, and with his consent, once he grew his wings, Belorussia performed the freezing spell on him so he could stay small and cute forever. Vecardi is Belorussia's right hand-hatchling, and the two are near inseperable. Vecardi has his own little pumpkin house in Belorussia's pumpkin patch.
