Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Beachsitter loves oysters.  He lives on an atoll with a number of other sunrise dragons, most of whom prefer other types of seafood.  The first thing Beachsitter does each morning is dive for several clawfuls of oysters and bring them up to the sandy beach.  He then spends the rest of the morning in the sun opening them up, one by one, slurping them into his mouth and chewing them slowly to savor the flavor.  Pearls are an extra treat to him, a crunchy center to the chewy food.

     Because of his diet, Beachsitter's scales have a lovely glossy sheen that makes him the desire of many females and the envy of most males.
