Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its scales give off a beautiful golden gleam.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Oliza is a quiet Golden Wyvern who tends to avoid too much contact. She keeps away from her strange father and from her very social mother but she finds comfort in her best friend Nicias. Oliza loves to dance in both sky and on the ground and it brings her great comfort, as does listening to the tales of Freya and Snowstorm. Sometimes at night Oliza and Nicias sit side by side and watch the stars in the sky or Nicias' pool and wonder about the future or other things. Oliza has a huge crush on Nicias.
