Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Andromedes never needed family to make him happy; he was young and healthy and handsome. He was abandoned before he had even hatched, and felt if they didn't want him, he didn't want them either. But beneath his mask of indifference lay a very different dragon. Inside he yearned for the motherly love that was stolen away from him, the fatherly roughness that was laid to waste, the siblings that he could never grow up with. He wondered where they had gone, and why they had left him with nothing to remind him of them. But, despite his pangs of lonliness, he is happy. He has yet to find a mate, but is not worried that he'll not find the right girl. And one day... one day he will find his family.
