Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

There she was, frozen again. All because of that relentless sun. It is so annoying to have to worry about when the sun will come and if she is in a safe place or not, or even if the humans will find her and take her thinking they found an incredibly realistic looking dragon statue in an isolated area by coincidence! That has happened to her before and she bets she scared a few humans when she turned blue and flew away right after sunset. The looks on their faces, hah! They were absolutely ridiculous! Unfortunately, after that her friends all laughed at her because she hadn't hidden well enough. Oh well, at least if she gets caught she can laugh at it later, but hopefully, this time she won't get caught. She hid in a cave that she disguised way up in the mountains. No humans should ever find her there. She hopes.
