Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Quake is an accomplished Earth Mage. She was stolen as a hatchling by the humans to be used to find valuable mineral deposits. Over time Quake was able to increase her skills in magic, so that she could detect, and eventually create, earthquakes. <br/>She refrained from using her magic to do harm as her human guardian was a kind, gentle miner who treated her as an intelligent being. <br/>However her idyllic life was not to last. When she was only 37, her scales were just beginning to harden, her human died and she was passed on to a new keeper. This man did not believe that dragons were intelligent, and treated her just like a dumb beast. <br/>Still hurting from the disappearance of her friend, Quake caused the earth to swallow him up. <br/>After escaping from the humans she was adopted by a clan of abandoned dragons. She is the mate of a Vine dragon named Tigro, and is one of the few dragons, aside from a Mint named Quiva, that can approach him without getting eaten.
