Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Malterious has a some-what colorful past, she was abandoned by her mother, found by a human, and abandoned again. Only when BlutNachtWolfe scooped her egg up did she find someone who would take her in. Shy and skittish, she generally stays in the back of her cave keeping away from the other dragons while gazing into her water pool. Gazing at the pool for several weeks, she finally mustered up the courage to meet the rest of the dragons of Blut's brood. Her eyes locked on one dragon, a funny looking Water Horse who had an odd name to go with him, AqAuRon. Now calling him her consort, she spends most of her time watching the other dragons while pleasantly sitting next to the water relaxing with her love.
