When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Decorus Creatura de Aequora is a very loving, albeit very jealous dragon. He has been happily coupled with Fervensa since they were little more than hatchlings. That is, until Cadidus came of age. The first thing that little whippersnapper did was start trying to move in on Fervensa! Decorus wasn't too worried, but then one day he happened to enter the cave at just the right moment, and he saw Candidus cozying up to Fervensa, and Fervensa was smiling! Well he let her have it on the way home. He didn't see her at all the next day, but the day after she was back home. Things were tense for a few weeks, but eventually Decorus forgave her and the two made up.
