White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Though she is one of the youngest White dragons in the clan, Sashizu is given the important responsibility of maintaining the labels on the Sylvain clan's medicine storage caches. Because it is difficult to memorize the uses of each individual herb and mixture, Sashizu writes out descriptions for the medicinal stock, noting appearance, use, and side effects. Her diligence has earned her the respect of her older siblings, who often rely on her to fetch the cures whenever a dragon in the cave needs them.
