Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A strange and unusually pale creature, this female can be found living within a most curious cathedral settled in the middle of a snowbound field—a cathedral that houses a statue of a young girl in chains. Those who find the pale dragon, by luck or by determination, often question her as to what she is doing in such an odd place. However, the answer they receive back is as cryptic as the place itself: the female simply recites a tale of strange beings, of a race without shadows, a cursed wave, and of those who quest for the Twilight Dragon. The curious poem she tells has become known as the Epitaph of Twilight, and many puzzle over what it might mean.
