Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Winters in the land surrounding Graystone Castle are usually mind.  This winter however was not one of those.  Fires lit in the castle were kept burning both night and day.  Down below the dragons moved deeper huddling together for warmth.  So cold was the air not even Calandria dare to fly.  She kept close to Shalandar as if it was night, but Faileen's ruffling and Lyneues play agitated her to much.  So she ventured deeper into the earth.  There she found an egg radiating such splendid warmth.  She scarcely gave the egg a thought as she lay down to enjoy a good nap.  Such surprise she awoke to see a handsome red hatchling standing there in its place.   She returned to the others, the hatchling in tow.  His short breath  puffing smoke all the way there.  But no fire could have warmed them as deeply as his heart.  They named Ruaidhri Gray.  He is the Red King dragon of Graystone.  He is a protector of the family Gray and their dragons even to this very day.
