Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Adolph cannot sit still. Like most whiptails, he adores rushing around and other such speed-related exercises, but Adols also has an incapacity to focus. Possibly a form of Draconian ADHD, the other dragons of the cave rather cruelly call him ADOLS which is truly short for Attention Deficient Oh Look Shiny! Despite this cruel name, Adols is largely ignorant of the other dragon's opinions, and his peppy friendliness can put him in a bullied position. Especially from Kai, who takes it upon himself to say something nasty each day. Fanciful, however, took a fancy (as they say) to Adols inherent cheerfulness and he is to a degree her muse on the construction of daydreams.
