Aluria Dragons are a social species that inhabit the sheer cliffs of chilly, coastal climates. They are frequently found darting through the air, hunting birds and small creatures along the shore with skilled acrobatics. Alurias are glad to befriend other dragon species, although they are known to be a bit vain about their appearances. Much of their time is spent grooming to maintain their luxurious, golden manes and shiny, downy feathers, which insulate them well in cold, humid weather. When the weather is especially cold, they retreat to their caves and huddle together, forming a welcome pile of fluffy dragons to keep themselves warm. Alurias attract mates with aerial performances; by twirling in sunlight, they show off the gleam of their colorful fur and feathers.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation.
