Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Brink is more solitary for a Flamingo. He tends to travel around to avoid confrontation and will typically ignore other dragons. Though not outwardly aggressive, he is easily irritated. Usually, whenever something does upset or annoy him, he'll try to simply get away from it. But if said thing continues to follow him, he has no problem picking a fierce fight. Aside from hunting, Brink will only lash out against others when they upset him, even if they don't mean to. This is absolutely the case with a lot of his family. With so many siblings and cousins, Brink has a hard time not freaking out. He gets very socially anxious in large groups, so needs to distance himself from them. He's been known to get into scuffles with his brothers and sisters, cousins, and especially uncle, Paradise. Even the quieter, equally reserved members annoy him. So, he has all but abandoned the family, since they see him as more of a problem than anything. He feels more comfortable alone anyway, more quiet.
