Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

One day, in a place where the real world seems to melt away and all days are a dream, an egg was laid on a pink cloud. It was the most beautiful summer of all, and even out of this place where all days are a dream, people seemed to feel more dreamy. This was when The Summer Dream came about. The egg drifted its way to the door of TigressJaguiar, and she could feel its presence. She took it in and it hatched. Tigress could not concentrate after that. She just stared at the hatchling's beautiful blue scales. Now, when this hatchling grew up it told Tigress that her name was The Summer Dream and it chose to come to her door. The dragon told Tigress that she could make daydreams, and she daydreams herself too. She spends days floating on her cloud, just dreaming.
