Canopy Dragons love to soar above the tropical jungles and other densely forested areas. Their billowing, layered wings create generous lift that allows them to ascend effortlessly over the warm jungle. While their unique wings do not make them the fastest flyers, they are champion gliders. To further this end, dexterity, maneuverability, and grace are all judged by the females when selecting their mates from the males that can accurately complete the exhausting and elaborate courtship dance between the close growing branches of the upper canopy.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

MnFIX has always had a fascination with human-made objects since she was a mere hatchling. She would scour the jungle for any doohickeys that traveling adventurers may have left behind. Once she finds one, she carefully dismantles the device to observe the inner workings and try to figure out the function of each part. Most of the objects suffer from some wear and tear, so MnFIX does her best to repair or replace the damaged fragments. Her lair is filled with a hoard of strange doodads, and her kin are often overwhelmed by the sheer amount that she has collected over the years. Most think that her hobby is a waste of time, telling her to instead invest in more practical activities. Thus, when she met her beloved mate FIXWl, a Royal Crimson who shared her love of mechanisms, the normally shy Canopy was absolutely thrilled. Nowadays, they work together to create a myriad of odd contraptions from scrap materials they collect and trade for from other dragons.
