Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As the dying sun fell from the shadow world, she was born. She was used to darkness; she had seen darkness for the countless days that she was forming. She was a part of the darkness, and it a part of her. What she wasn't used to was the light.

The last rays of sun flared over the world, bathing the land in warm radiance for its last few seconds. As it danced over her new scales, she felt a tiny missing piece slide into place. This was also a part of her; a small piece, but a piece nonetheless. Without it, the beauty of twilight would be gone, and all color of this wondrous world, new to her hatchling eyes, would be lost forever.

But something was still missing. Someone, in fact. The light was diminished; her light was not strong enough, and that someone, her balance, was the only thing that could complete it.

And so Vespere waited.
