Golden Wyverns are known for their beautiful metallic scales and rumored magical abilities. Living high in the mountains, these dragons do not believe in killing for sport or pleasure. They will hunt only when hungry and defend themselves when provoked, but will avoid killing to the best of their abilities. Golden Wyverns often mingle with other dragons of similar color and take pride in their shimmering hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Even though Zef is new to his cave, he has already stepped up and taken role as a leader. Alongside Kotek, Magnus' cave is carefully organized with democracy and a consideration for every dragon. However, he can't do much else.

Zef was born into human hands and raised as a member of the family. Though he enjoys feeling loved, he can't help but feel like the others look down upon him, due to his gender identity and improper training. Some of the younglings in particular like to point out his lack of hunting, or flying.

He identifies as male, and this is respected by all in Magnus' cave. He fits comfortably in with the other males, and even has a small infatuation with Apfel Leif.

Regardless of his 'flaws', Zef enjoys helping run the cave, and hopes he never has to leave.
