Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It always seems to be picking over its scales.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Unlike most lumina dragons, MiNTS is not obsessed with her appearance. Well, she is, but it's not about keeping her scales shiny. MiNTS is obsessed with trying to turn them green. MiNTS is certain, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that she is a mint dragon trapped forever in a lumina body.

Many of Lagie's dragons are quite leery of MiNTS, thinking she's an undercover dragon sent by herk to learn the secrets behind Lagie's brownies. MiNTS is forever having to explain that this is not the case, that as a tranny mint, herk thought she'd fit in better with Lagie's dragons than with her own, but few of Lagie's dragons are prepared to accept this.

MiNTS even asked Lagie to freeze her as a hatchling, thinking that if she were closer to a mint's size, perhaps she'd fit in better. Now if only she could find something that would turn her that minty shade of green...
