Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Although Red Roundfoot takes immense pride in her appearance and attractiveness, she could never be considered a vain or uncaring creature.  Her unusual fins do indeed attract much attention, which she certainly enjoys, often prancing about to show off a little; however, she never takes her facade of an ego to heart, and never thinks twice about jealous females showing off in order to take the males eyes from her.

Without a doubt, Red's truest love is her Golden mate, Ray of Brilliant Sunlight, and his quirky and usually unsuccessful experiments.  Her mind is generally occupied with thoughts of how to modify and better whatever insane plans he makes; as soon as she thinks an idea that might work, she races off to find Sunlight with the Magi clan, babbling away her newest schemes to an ever-eager ear.

Although she never mentions it to Sunlight, her dream is to provide him with many strong Golden children; she knows that time will provide, and always tries to remain patient.
