Originating from a single species that thrived in ancient times, Xenowyrms have become an incredibly diverse breed whose appearances vary depending on their habitats. Each Xenowyrm subspecies is heavily reliant on the power of different types of mana, making them powerful magic users. Chronos are often considered to be the most elusive of all Xenowyrm subspecies: they live in the darkest and densest forests, far from civilization. They are masters of time magic, allowing them to manipulate the flow of time at will. It is said that Chrono lairs are protected by a field of magic that makes the minutes tick by at a slow pace for any unwanted visitors.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Chrona Tempora, or Chrona of Time, once lived alone in her lair, a dark cave protected by strong temporal magics; those which she manipulated and fed off. She emerged once every ten years to make herself known to the generations whom she had never seen.

But one day, as she soared over the mountains home, she noticed an irregularity in the timestream. As she flew closer, she saw a fellow Chrono Xenowyrm assisting a Ridgewing and Nebula dragon in warping the flow of time to secretly abandon their egg and quickly return home. She managed to get the egg but not the parents—or the traitor—for now.

She raised the beautiful hatchling up in the alpine not far from where she found it. Its growth out in the open led it to bloom into a full Carina Dragon—few of which Chrona has ever met. This dragon still calls herself "Carina Tempora" in honor of her savior.
