Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. A roamer and a sunrise aficionado, this dragon has long traveled the world in search of spectacular dawns. While his roaming has led him to many breathtaking spectacles and amazing lands indeed, one of his most treasured discoveries actually had very little to do with watching the morning. One long night's travel landed him in a comfortable glade, surrounded by green mountains and expansive lakes, and it was there that the rising sun filled him not with mere wonder, but with nostalgia. Investigating the most curious place further, ever with a great sense of familiarity, he found he had stumbled upon the home of his grandparents and his great grandparents, relatives whom he had never met before. More than delighted to meet new family members, he made himself quite a comfortable home in that place--although he still frequently goes on travels, both to visit his parents and to continue chasing the sun.
